Our anglage or beveling is extra thick and curved to create a high mirror finish along the edges of all bridges and plates, also coming to sharp points.

Our countersinks, the recessed area around each screwhead, are extra broad and mirror polished. Screwheads are also mirror polished.

There are two spectacular black polished swan-neck mechanisms for fine adjustment of the beat of the two free-sprung balances. Black Polishing or Speculaire is achieved when a surface is so well polished it no longer reflects light.
Our balance wheel retains the design of the original, with a wide black-polished circular hub that is held in place by two pins to retain the cap jewel. The hairspring is attached to a traditional kidney-shaped stud piton that is black-polished.
